Inter Milan would be prepared to include Milan Skriniar in any swap deal for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports. It has been claimed that the Nerazzurri were also willing to use Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez, but Skriniar is, by far, the likeliest to be offered in any part-exchange proposal.
Lukaku is seemingly determined to return to Inter, but the Serie A club can only afford to loan the 28- year-old, which is not an arrangement that would be acceptable to the Blues. Fans on Twitter are, however, split on whether a deal would be a good idea if Skriniar moved in the other direction:
Good player in fairness. We should be aiming for their best players considering how much they screwed us in the summer — Kieran thompson (@Curlyboi1998) June 8, 2022
Skriniar is a brilliant defender!! — GuixChelseaFC (@GuixChelseaFC) June 8, 2022
Not sure about Skriniar…. — M@c❣♠️📸 (@BlackOhg) June 8, 2022
This is the best solution. It should be a permanent move for Lukaku, sending him out on loan really isn't ideal for Chelsea — njabulo sibiya 🇿🇦 (@njabulo__sibiya) June 8, 2022
Skrinnar is preferable to Bastoni IMO — alino_chelse92 (@AnangAlain) June 8, 2022 No thanks it's Bastoni or nothing — Matt🇯🇲 (@CFC_Matt__) June 8, 2022

@ChelseaFC please don't do it. He's too slow for PL. — Fortyfive Cent (@fortyfive_cent) June 8, 2022
Should be all over this this tbh — toby🎯 (@CFCTobs) June 8, 2022
Best case scenario — ⭐⭐ (@anvar_cfc) June 8, 2022
The Blues do need centre-backs following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and Skriniar would probably be a decent replacement for the latter, covering for Thiago Silva in the middle of the back three when required. At 27 years of age, he is also reaching his prime so he could be a decent acquisition.
