Chelsea could be set to learn the future of Leeds United winger Raphinha in the “next few days”, according to manager Jesse Marsch.
football.london understands the Blues had a deal
worth up to £65million agreed, however interest
from Barcelona has slowed it down as the player
is keen on a switch to the La Liga side.
It comes as Thomas Tuchel looks to bolster his squad heading into the new season. The German coach has lost a number of key players but under new owner Todd Boehly, he is expected to make a number of signings. On the job ahead, Tuchel said earlier this year:
“We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging but we are up for the challenge.”
The forward line is an area of particular focus after the Blues struggled consistently to find the back of the next in the previous campaign.

Raheem
Sterling appears set to rectify part of that
problem, as football.london understands the
Manchester City forward has agreed personal
terms with Chelsea after a bid was accepted by
the club.
It remains to be seen whether Raphinha would join him at Stamford Bridge next season though, as he holds out for his Barcelona dream. The Blaugrana’s financial difficulties have meant that a fee is yet to be agreed, however.
Leeds manager Marsch believes that a transfer decision could edge closer in the coming days, however. He said:
“Raphinha returned to training today, good attitude. Wouldn't commit to him being in Australia with things capable of moving quickly in the next few days. “There's urgency from his end to come up with a solution. I know he has hopes and dreams... we’ll see in the next few days.”
It means that Chelsea could either land their man, or be forced to look elsewhere in the transfer market this summer to bolster their forward options.
