Boehly has given the green light for Chelsea to complete £100M deal

It has been claimed that Ted Boehly has given the green light for Chelsea to try and secure a transfer deal for Christopher Nkunku It will surely be a very exciting transfer season for Chelsea and the fans as Thomas Tuchel will surely be backed with funds to add to a squad that needs working on.

And Tuchel knows that he will need to delve into that transfer kitty and sign players that will add some goals to the squad – as lot of his players struggles in front of goal last season.

And that has led to reports in the media which have suggested that Chelsea are very much keen on Nkunku – who has just been voted the Bundesliga player of the season.

The 24-year-old had an amazing season last season and netted 35-goals while adding 19- assists as Leipzig finished fourth in the table – and there are alot of clubs keen on a possible deal.

Leipzig are desperate to keep Nkunku and they’ve set a prohibitively high asking price of £100million in order to let the forward leave – But reports have claimed that Chelsea are willing to meet Leipzig’s asking price as they fear the competition for his signature will be even greater next summer.

And IcFootballnews has also learned that Ted Boehly has given the green light for a move to go ahead – especially as Romelu Lukaku looks all set to depart the club for a move back to Inter Milan.

But the report adds – Leipzig are trying to convince Nkunku that his career would be best served by another season in Germany and they’re willing to hand him a new contract with a release clause to satisfy his ambition to move.

If Chelsea show real interest, if the board make a big enough offer and Nkunku says that he wants to leave, we are sure that RB will let him leave.

He has been brilliant for RB over the past 12 months and is ready for the step up – we are not quite sure that he is worth £100 million though
