It has been claimed that Chelsea could have the support of trillionaire backers after a Saudi Media group made a massive £2.7 billion offer to sign the club. Chelsea have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks ever since the news broke that Roman Abramovic had to put the club up for sale because of his close ally Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.
The club will need a new Government licence for the sale after owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned and his assets frozen, and the deadline for bids has been delayed until this Friday, with more than 20 serious parties reportedly interested. But now it seems that we could become one one of the richest clubs in world football after Saudi Media Group have made a £2.7 billion offer to buy Chelsea Football Club.
The group’s owner Mohamed Alkhereiji is a Chelsea fan, and is leading a private consortium without any direct government links, and reports have claimed that there is also support in finding funding and partners from Mohammed bin Khalid Al Saud, but not financial backing from the businessman himself The House of Saud are thought to have assets worth an astonishing £1.19trillion – which is far more than both Newcastle and Manchester City have at their disposal.
While City owners the Abu Dhabi Group alongside Sheikh Mansour are thought to have a net worth of around £9.2billion, Newcastle’s Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia have around £500bn.
Look, if the reports are true and a trillionaire company are interested in making Chelsea their next project, it would be a massive worry to the rest of the world cash they can attract any player they like We are already one of the biggest clubs in world football, and could you imagine if we had that money behind them, the club would surely be unstoppable
