Milan Skriniar transfer meeting held in London as Chelsea and PSG eye move for Inter defender

Chelsea 's summer rebuild is continuing as Thomas Tuchel looks to add to his squad ahead of the new Premier League season. The Blues have lost a number of key players in the past few months and have attempted to make some additions to combat that.

So far, only two have made their way through the door, with the German coach bemoaning his lack of options and having the "same players" as last campaign at his disposal. That has seen results in pre-season dip too, with the latest being a 4-0 thumping at the hands of London rivals Arsenal.

It shows there's plenty more work to be done in the window both at the back and in attack. However, the defensive third appears to be a priority for the next signing.

football.london understands Chelsea are considering making a move for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, while Presnel Kimpembe, Josko Gvardiol and Milan Skriniar all remain options for a deal.

The latter in particular has continued to be linked with the Blues, with an exit from Inter Milan on the cards as they look to balance their finances.

The west London outfit aren't alone though, as Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be monitoring the situation closely ahead of an offer for the Slovakia international.

And according to Sport Italia , Inter representatives are in the English capital with PSG to hold a meeting over a transfer for the defender.

It could prove to be a huge blow for Tuchel, who seems adamant to add another central defender to his squad while the window is open.

Should Skriniar move to Paris instead, the Blues will have to continue working their way down their shortlist of centre-backs for the summer.
