Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes is keenly anticipating a bid from a Premier League club before the transfer window closes next month, according to the Correio da Manha.
The Portuguese publication reports that the 23-year- old “believes” that a proposal from England could arrive “at any moment” and he is hoping to have his future resolved sooner rather than later.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Wolves are all believed to be “in the running” for Nunes, although (despite some reports to the contrary ), not one of the three teams have made a formal offer so far this summer.
For their part, Sporting would be willing to let the Portuguese international leave if a club does meet their valuation. They are demanding €45m (£38m) up front for the player, with another €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons.
Agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly trying to get Nunes the transfer he wants but, at this stage, he is not close to sealing a move.
