Mikel Arteta told to complete Arsenal deal for £60M Blues star Tuchel doesnt want!

Gunners icon Paul Merson has told Arsenal to solve their striker crisis by signing Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku. It is no secret in the media that Mikel Arteta is keen to add a new striker to the squad that will bring 20-goals a season to the side – because that is what they are lacking right now.

Lukaku has struggled since making a £97.5million move to Stamford Bridge last year and, according to reports, wants to leave Chelsea with a return to Inter Milan on a loan deal in the pipeline.

However, Merson believes his old side should enter the race for the Belgian star – would could cost the Gunners board around £60 million to sign from Chelsea – Writing in his Daily Star column , he said:

‘Arsenal should make a cheeky £60m bid for Romelu Lukaku this summer. ‘Because if Chelsea are so desperate to let him go that they’re talking about loaning him to Inter Milan, surely they would take the money! Arsenal haven’t had someone who is big and strong and dynamic like that since Kevin Campbell.

‘I know he hasn’t scored a lot of goals this season but Lukaku is an elite goalscorer. Arsenal play great football up to the edge of the box but then it often fizzles out. “Arsenal go through the lines. They want their striker on the edge of the box. It would suit him.’

Lukaku only managed eight League goals last season – his movement was not that great – and his finishing at times was awful – so Arsenal should not make a move for the player.

He would not suit the style of Arsenal and we would be shocked to see Arteta listen to Merson Chelsea will want to get him out of the club – and will look to get as much money as they can – they know the Gunners will not pay the amount of money that they want
