‘Making Way For Dembele’ ‘We Can’t Lose Him’ Fans React As Chelsea Star Is Tipped To Leave Following Difficulties With Tuchel

Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech has a difficult relationship with manager Thomas Tuchel and the Moroccan is expected to be sold if a club makes a decent offer for the player, according to journalist Liam Twomey.

The Athletic‘s Chelsea reporter doesn’t see a future for the 29-year-old at Stamford Bridge, with a move this summer believed to suit “all parties”:

Drawing a line under the Lukaku disaster would be a good start, but there’s a LOT of work to do on the Chelsea squad this summer… 👇 #CFC https://t.co/wVpxJ6R42W — Liam Twomey (@liam_twomey) June 17, 2022

Supporters on Twitter are not exactly surprised about Ziyech’s situation, considering the Blues’ interest in Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, but some would be disappointed to see him go:

He should just get going — Web (@webchibuike) June 17, 2022

Always had a feeling this was the case, mainly because of the little clique with Lukaku. Good player on his day but his attitude hasn’t been there since he joined. — Jake Hamblin (@JakeHamblin20) June 17, 2022

No problem. More room for Dembele. — Stephen (@ranmzysteve) June 17, 2022

The best thing to do is to allow him move on — O K P O T O__22 (@justcallmeeROLO) June 17, 2022

While Ziyech did start 27 games in all competitions last campaign, he hasn’t been able to nail down a place in the first eleven. The Moroccan international is usually the first to be rotated out of the team, and it’s clear that Tuchel doesn’t completely trust him.

If Dembele does join on a free transfer, it would reduce Ziyech ‘s game time even further so it’s likely that he will be moved on, either on loan or on a permanent basis.
