Chelsea have a busy summer ahead with the summer transfer window now just around the corner. Thomas Tuchel will be handed a nice sum of cash to improve his squad this summer, and also to replace the departing players.
This budget could increase with player sales, and Tuchel should be able to build a pretty good squad to be able to start challenging for the Premier League title alongside the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Not all potential targets will demand a high fee though, Chelsea will certainly consider free agents this summer as well, and the most major one would be Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, who has been heavily linked with Chelsea in recent days.
Transfer insider Dean Jones has provided his update on this situation, and he believes that Dembele likes the idea of going to Chelsea. He told GiveMeSport:
“Through everything I’ve heard around the deal, he likes the idea of going to Chelsea too. So, the bits all seem to be falling into place.
“Chelsea obviously are looking to make an impact back in the market this summer. There were concerns obviously over his injury record, he’s missed 60 games or something in the last two years, but in the past few months, he has started to put that behind him.”
